Remembering The Broken Hearted On Father’s Day

On this father’s day, just taking time out to remember those who have lost their fathers, uncles, brothers or grandad and those who have never known their fathers. May you find comfort and peace in our Heavenly Father, Papa, Abba Father who is omnipresent and father to the fatherless. “For you have not received the spirit of slavery leading to fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons or daughters, by which we cry out, “Abba Father!” Romans 8:15
For those that have experienced abuse, rejection or abandonment from your father, you may be feeling anger or deeply hurt. But how you interpreted that abuse, rejection or abandonment can lead to emotional anguish and suffering. You may be feeling that you are not worthy of love and affirmation. I pray today that God heals your pain. Healing may not mean your relationship with your father is fixed, but it may mean realising that this is not preventing you from being at peace and free right now.

I pray that our heavenly Father, the source of freedom, love, peace and contentment will heal your broken heart. I pray for healing to allow the love and compassion of Christ to flow through your pains and sorrows to others. Maybe your experiences or sadness become a source of wisdom, strength and compassion for others who are hurting. Maybe “healing” means choosing to be an instrument of healing in the world. When you embrace God as your Father, You can finally be free to discover who you really are

“May the Lord Bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you May the Lord Lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace” Numbers 6:24-26
